Watercolour Morrisman - Work in Progress

It’s with great excitement that after 2 years of hanging around the attic I am finally getting on with this Morrisman. I love Morris Dancers with their unapologetic wildly floral hats, bells, ribbons and stick bashing antics.

This was painted on Two Rivers paper and is still workable after laying in the initial washes 2 years ago!

Here I am with the Morrisman - I need to add more differentiation in his complexion as it is overall too jaundiced looking…
Here are my steps - Can you notice how I have moved the ear from its original position which was far to close to the front of the face?
