If you are feeling Christmassy and want to paint a Christmas wreath then please have a go at this demo.
It includes the old favourites of shiny and spiky holly leaves interwoven with the stark simplicity of mistletoe and punctuated with the star of the show - poinsettia.

I used Arches hot pressed 90lb watercolour paper - unstretched - I just painted right onto it. If you want to flatten it when the painting is finished just spray the back of it very finely with water - sandwich between two bigger pieces of watercolour paper and put under a tonne of books over night.
Here is the outline if you want to use this.
Colours are Winsor & Newton:- Cadmium Red Deep, Hookers Green, Manganese Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Alizarin Crimson. Brushes are round size 3 and 6 and flat quarter inch.
As always if you paint this exact wreath then it is not permissable under copyright law for it to be sold. However - if you use these techniques on a different design wreath you are ok . Enjoy!
